The Society was founded in 1975 as Nordic Scoliosis Society. The purpose was to promote research and treatment of scoliosis.
In 1996, other deformities of the spine were included. The name of the Society was adapted accordingly to Nordic Spinal Deformities Society.
The Society organises at least one scientific meeting af year – the annual meeting which is held in August. The location of the meeting rotates between the member contries. Go to membership if you wish to learn more about member contries.
